The GEL-KAYANOTM 14 running shoe returns with its late 2000s look as an homage to our illustrious GEL-KAYANOTM series, giving a fresh perspective on the retro running design. This version, the first in the sneaker’s history not created by Toshikazu Kayano, reinterpreted the performance characteristics of the shoe using modern materials and componentry. The handing of this torch would further the franchise’s performance evolution while reigniting its defining virtues. This shoe enhances fit while maintaining the layered leather and mesh construction from 2008 and mirrors the original midsole tooling with GELTM technology cushioning. Additionally, the sockliner is created using a solution dyeing technique that reduces carbon emissions by roughly 45% and water usage by 33%.
